Dr. Rob Burdette was a Marriage & Family Therapist and an ordained minister located in Howard County, Maryland. He was a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and an Approved Supervisor for the State of Maryland, and a member of International Trauma Professionals.
Rob had been ordained and doing counseling for 50+ years, spending 20 years as Chaplain & faculty at UMCP, 10 years as director of a pastoral counseling center, and 5 years as a therapist at a county 24/7 Crisis Center. Studying Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology, and Pastoral Counseling led to a search for a unifying and inclusive approach to therapy. Marriage & Family Systems is that (w)holistic view recognizing we are always individuals interacting with others in relationship groups (family, neighbors, work, church). Who and what we are as an individuated person affects and is affected by our group participation.
